Looking for a birthday activity in Bathurst that’s creative, relaxed and gives everyone something personal to take home?
At The Coven Bx, birthday groups can spend time together creating their own candles, choosing from 170+ fragrances, 150+ vessels and hundreds of decorative moulds. Everyone can make something completely different, with our team there to guide you through the process.
A Birthday Experience Made Your Way
Each candle maker chooses their own vessel and fragrance, with optional colour and decorations available to make their creation even more personal.
There’s no need for any candle-making experience — we take you through it step by step.
Birthday candle-making is perfect for kids, teens, adults, families, friendship groups and milestone birthdays.
Something for Every Budget
Candles start from $14, so guests can choose a vessel that suits their own style and budget.
Optional colour can be added for $2 and decorations for $3 per candle.
Coffee, cold drinks and café treats are also available to enjoy while you create.
Planning Your Party
To help your celebration run smoothly:
- Please book ahead for groups of 4 or more.

Everyone attending must be included in your booking numbers, even if they won’t be making a candle, as seating is required for all guests.
- Children aged 12 and under must be supervised by a responsible adult. For younger groups, we recommend approximately 1 adult for every 3 children.
- Allow around 1–1.5 hours, depending on your group size.
- You’re welcome to bring your own birthday cake or snacks. Drinks are available for purchase from our café.
- Candles need to cure overnight and are available for collection the following day.
