Kids Candle Making

Looking for a fun, creative activity for the kids in Bathurst?

At The Coven Bx, kids can create a candle that is completely their own — choosing their vessel, fragrance and optional colour and decorations, with our team there to guide them through every step.

With 170+ fragrances, 150+ vessels and hundreds of decorative moulds, there are plenty of ways to make each candle completely their own.

Perfect for school holidays, family days out, birthdays, weekends or simply something different to do together, candle making at The Coven is a hands-on indoor activity that can be enjoyed by a wide range of ages and abilities.

What Kids Can Create

Each candle-making experience includes choosing a vessel and fragrance, with optional extras available to make their creation even more personal.

• Colour can be added for $2
• Decorations can be added for $3
• Our team guides each child through the candle-making process

Once finished, candles need time to cure and are available for collection the following day.

Before You Book

To help us make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience:

• All people attending or staying during the session must be included in your booking numbers, even if they are not making a candle.
• Children aged 12 and under must be supervised by a responsible adult.
• For groups of younger children, we recommend approximately one supervising adult for every three children.
• Groups of four or more should book ahead so we can make sure we have enough seating available.
• Please allow around 1–1.5 hours for your candle-making experience, depending on the size of your group.
• Candles cannot be taken home on the day they are made and must be collected the following day.

Make a Day of It

Parents, carers and family members are welcome to enjoy coffee and treats from our café while the kids create — or make a candle of their own.

Located in Kelso, Bathurst, The Coven Bx has easy parking and wheelchair/pram access, making it an easy indoor activity for local families and visitors alike.
